1. Contractual Agreement
By engaging Akatdo Limited for hardware repairs, diagnostics, custom builds, or data recovery services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are acting on behalf of a business, you confirm you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms.
2. Repair & Diagnostic Procedures
- Initial Assessment: All devices are subject to a diagnostic phase. We reserve the right to charge a diagnostic fee regardless of whether a repair is ultimately possible.
- Estimates: Quotes provided are estimates based on the initial assessment. If further faults are discovered during the repair process, we will notify you and seek approval before proceeding with additional costs.
- Inherent Risks: You acknowledge that electronic repair carries inherent risks. Devices already suffering from liquid damage, physical impact, or manufacturing defects may fail completely during an attempt to repair them. Akatdo Limited is not liable for such failures.
3. Data Loss & Customer Responsibility
IMPORTANT: Akatdo Limited is not responsible for your data. It is the Customer's sole responsibility to ensure a full backup is performed before submitting any device for repair.
- We shall not be held liable for the loss, corruption, or compromise of data, software, or personalized settings during any service or repair.
- For Data Recovery services: We provide these on a "best-efforts" basis. Success is never guaranteed, and fees are charged for the labor and technical resources utilized in the attempt.
4. Payments & Financial Transactions
Our payment infrastructure is powered by Square. By making a payment, you acknowledge that your transaction is subject to the Square General Terms of Service.
- Payment is required in full before any device is released back to the customer.
- We accept major credit/debit cards and digital wallets supported by Square. We do not accept personal cheques.
5. Website Infrastructure & Forms
To provide our services online, we utilize Cloudflare for site security and performance, and Web3Forms for processing customer inquiries.
- By using our website, you agree to the use of essential security cookies provided by Cloudflare.
- All data submitted via our contact forms is processed securely through Web3Forms.
6. Warranty Policy
We provide a 90-day hardware warranty on specific parts and labor for the specific fault repaired. This warranty is void if:
- The device has been opened or tampered with by a third party after our service.
- The device shows signs of new physical damage or liquid ingress.
- The issue is software-related (OS updates, malware, or user configuration).
7. Abandoned Goods
Under the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977, Akatdo Limited reserves the right to dispose of or sell any item that remains uncollected for more than 90 days after a formal notice of completion or unrepairability has been issued. Proceeds from any sale will be applied to outstanding labor, storage, and disposal costs.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of England and Wales, Akatdo Limited's total liability for any claim arising out of our service shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Customer for that specific service.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
